DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

No, you do not need a Referral for Physiotherapy in Ontario Canada.  As a Registered Physiotherapist  Sarah Radovic is considered a  primary healthcare professional which means you can easily go ahead and book an appointment.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL PHYSIOTHERAPY VISIT LOOK LIKE?

You will be asked questions about what is troubling you, such as not being able to properly  lift your arm over head, open a jar, bend to the floor, jump or run without pain, full power or full strength.

Further questioning and testing of your function, specific muscle, joint and nerve tests then help narrow down the most likely cause(s) of your signs and symptoms, especially when it is not completely obvious!

HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED TO GO TO PHYSIOTHERAPY?

Every person has a different set of goals and expectations.  It is important to discuss your goals, your realistic time and financial constraints if any at your very first appointment so you can agree to a treatment plan that suits all of your needs and ensure both you and your therapist are on the same page!  Communication is key here!!!
